LINC 2010: European Leader Conference

The Austrian Leader area Hohe Salve is organising the European LINC conference to foster networking and exchange of experience among European Leader areas in an innovative way!

LINC combines European exchange of experience in the field of “innovation in rural development” with sport events and European culinary delicacies.

LINC is an initiative from Local Action Groups and National Network Units for rural development in Austria, Germany, Estonia and Finland.

The first LINC conference will take place in Austria from 15th – 17th March 2010. From 2011 – 2013 LINC will be hosted by Germany, Estonia and Finland. The final LINC conference will be organised again by an Austrian LAG and the Austrian NRN.

For the success of this European exchange of experience it is very important that LAGs from all member states participate in this Leader conference!

We therefore want to ask you to spread our invitation to the LINC conference to all Local Action Groups of your country and to motivate your LAGs to participate in this event!

Sport competition of LAG teams:
Besides the exchange of experience a sport competition will take place in the framework of LINC.
Invited to LINC are therefore LAG teams consisting of 3 members: e.g. a LAG manager, a project owner and at least one woman.
The LAG teams from different European Leader areas will compete in 4 sport disciplines: alpine skiing, snow-shoe race, ice-stock shooting and mini-bobsledge.
Every participant can take part only in one of the 4 disciplines. That means: every team contests in only 3 of the 4 disciplines.

Naturally also teams from National Network Units are invited to participate in the LINC conference!
